“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
Pablo Picasso, artist & painter
In 1979 arts graduates Niki Davies, Steve Keeling and Sean Trowbridge started DKT Artworks to develop the potential they saw in the, then neglected, field of decorative arts, placing it at the forefront of their revival in the early 1980.
The heart of DKT Artworks has always been the studio, comprising workshop, office and showroom – this is where design, sample production, prototyping and much of the manufacturing takes place.
“The sculpture school at Bath Academy of Arts was this great work space, and I always thought it would be fantastic to be able to have that again. It took a while to get here.”
Steve Keeling on the creation of dkt Artworks
With a highly talented team drawn from many disciplines, countries and cultures, DKT is able to work with the broadest range of styles, working closely with their clients to provide the quality, reliability and meticulous attention to detail for which the company’s artists and craftspeople are renowned.
